This project aims to enhance the space with a perfect blend of elegance and functionality, creating an environment that is both timeless and practical.
At the heart of the design is the thoughtful integration of high-quality materials, chosen not only for their aesthetic appeal but also for their durability and versatility. Oak wood, with its warm tones and natural grain, is used throughout the space to evoke a sense of elegance and comfort. The rich texture of oak complements the sleek and modern appeal of black metal elements, which are strategically employed to add contrast, structure and a contemporary edge. Together, these materials strike a harmonious balance between natural warmth and industrial sophistication.
The tiles, carefully selected for their form and function, are used to add texture and visual interest to the main areas of the house, from floor to wall. Their versatility allows for creative combinations that add an extra dimension of style while being easy to maintain.
A focal point of the renovation is the entry hall, which has undergone a complete transformation. Previously a vast, underutilised space that lacked purpose and coherence, the entry hall now serves as a welcoming gateway to the home.
The design organises the flow of the home, providing seamless transition to living areas and the more private service spaces. From here, guests are invited into the heart of the home, while discreet doors lead to important rooms such as the bathroom and laundry room, ensuring functionality without compromising on style.
The crowning feature of the entrance hall is a large portal made of glass and black metal, an eye-catching architectural element that connects the first and second levels of the house. This expansive, open-plan design draws visitors into the living area, which is located on a higher floor, creating a dynamic vertical connection between the rooms. The transparency of the glass ensures a sense of openness, allowing natural light to flood into the space and creating a connection between the various rooms.
The overall design focuses on maximising the use of space, ensuring that every corner serves a functional as well as an aesthetic purpose. This project is an expression of modern living, where every detail is considered and combines practicality with luxury to create a space that is both beautiful and liveable.
